Fundraising is Hard Work!
We set small, medium or large goals and work toward those goals, one at a time, by having a "Current Campaign"
We are running three separate, concurrent "Current Campaigns" because the needs in rescue are so overwhelming right now.
These campaigns do not even include our day to day expenses for the maintenance and medical care for the animals currently in rescue.
Our "Campaigns" are for special needs... Here we go...
"Medium Campaign"
7 Great Dane Puppies with Severe Demodex Mange
We are running a new campaign to raise money for the 7 Great Dane Puppies that came into rescue. They have a severe case of Demodectic Mange and one died before we were able to take them. We were had to humanely euthanize 2 of them since they were suffering. We have 5 puppies remaining and they need help. Would you help these babies?
Campaign Fundraising Goal: $3,000.00
**************************************************************************************
"Large Campaign"
Pending next Major Need
We always need $ to put in savings for the next Major need, so, even though we have not selected the recipient Dane(s), it is only a matter of time before we will have a major, heartbreaking Dane to save.
Campaign Fundraising Goal: $5,000.00
*************************************************************************************
"Small Campaign"
Dog Runs/Exercise/Play Yards
We are running a new campaign to raise money for the purchase of materials to build dog exercise/play yards to accommodate more dogs in rescue. We are looking to expand by purchasing materials for outdoor play yards that would be utilized for exercise, play and leisure time for the dogs to enjoy. The runs would provide separate areas so that we can keep dogs in harmonious groups or by themselves if needed, for safety, while still enjoying the weather and the space to run and play. All rescues live inside family homes (fosters) while waiting to be adopted and the materials we are raising money to purchase is to enhance their lives while in rescue by providing safe, outside exercise/play areas.
Campaign Fundraising Goal: $1,500.00
(This would allow us to build 5 dog runs/play yards for 10 foster homes)

Past Campaign
We DID it!
We raised $2,000.00 from the public in order to purchase a used, functional stock trailer!
The trailer will be used to save Great Danes from emergency situations such as wild fires and also to be able to pick up large numbers of Great Danes from hoarding situations that involve animal control or private shelters.
We will also lend out the trailer to other legitimate 501(c)(3) non-profits for similar purposes.
Our goal was to raise approximately an additional $2,000.00 for the specific purpose of purchasing a stock trailer in the name of the organization to carry on the work of the organization.
Every dollar helped!
THANK YOU EVERYONE THAT DONATED!

Past Campaign
Our past Campaign was to raise enough money to cover "Misty" the Great Dane's vet bills
Misty was admitted into our Rescue during Covid-19 after she was found on the side of the highway. Her assigned shelter in the area that she was found, lost 75% of their staff and were low on dog food, asking for donations from the public, just to pay to feed the dogs in their care.
Our Rescue/Shelter was contacted to request that we accept Misty into our care because her assigned shelter was not in good shape and Misty was pregnant, and due to have puppies very soon. We did not have the heart to turn Misty away and the photos we received did show a very large abdomen. Since we did not have the room for Misty, nor a Foster home available that was experienced with whelping puppies, we reached out to another 501(c)(3) rescue to inquire if they would be able to partner with us to take care of Misty. They would take physical care of Misty and we would raise funds for her care and sponsor her care. They agreed.
Once we received Misty, we were immediately concerned that she might not be pregnant, but, might have a troubling medical condition. Misty appeard to be approximately 6 years old and she had a growth on her side and a very enlarged belly, but, no milk line (which we would have expected to see a milk line if she was due to have puppies soon). Misty needed an ultrasound and a vet visit to determine her condition, situation and diagnosis. We communicated this information to our rescue partner and they still wanted to partner and care for her.
We transferred Misty to our Rescue Partner and she proceeded to receive medical diagnosis and care. She was not pregnant and had an internal mass that needed treatment. If this girl had gone to her assigned shelter, she would most likely be euthanized already.
Unfortunately, the rescue partner did not live up to their end of our bargain and stopped communication with us even though we sent donation money to them. Once in a while, they do post an update on Misty on social media, but, we will not be partnering with this rescue again since once they got Misty, they did not live up to the partnership agreement. This is a common problem with rescues, especially new ones. They do not value partnerships and do not have the long-term relationships that make managing rescues on a long-term basis, feasable. They frequently do not want partners and do not want transparency or another set of eyes on the situation. This is one reason that so many rescues become overwhelmed and close down. Partnership is very important in rescue and we are grateful for our rescue partners that we have and have had long-standing relationships.
